鼻腔分泌型IgA(SIgA)对上呼吸道病毒及细菌的感染有很大的防护作用。已经证明鼻腔SIgA局部合成在局部起免疫作用,而不依赖于全身免疫系统。有人用流感病毒经鼻腔感染小鼠,发现小鼠鼻腔分泌物中的SIgA效价比非经鼻腔感染的小鼠高10倍,体液中或分泌液中的抗体的临床意义是以呼吸道感染增殖因子为条件的,如某些微生物感染引起的疾病,虽然在其临床过程中血清抗体效价不升高,但在呼吸道可能形成相应抗体。本文报告涉及可能影响鼻腔局部产生SIgA某些因素的极初步材料。Hughes等证明鼻腔
