Researchers at Princeton University recently developed a new magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) method that uses a laser to polarize rare gases helium and xenon as inhalers to produce images of the lungs. The study attracted the attention of the major hospitals around the region. Pumped by light can enhance 3He and 1 2 9Xe nuclear polarization.
