在上世纪80年代,张桂铭的艺术发生了转向——从人物转向了花鸟。与其说张桂铭改变了题材,不如说借由花鸟画,张桂铭找到了一条通往现代的“革命”之路。张桂铭的花鸟画给人以浓重而缤纷的视觉感受。他在章法布局上大胆采用几何形,运用块面的对比来打破传统的构图模式。那些明度和纯度都极高的色块在画面上碰撞、交织,形成了厚重浓烈的画面氛围。
In the 1980s, Zhang Gui-ming’s art took a turn for the better - from figures to flowers and birds.
