北京全国农业展览馆大型组雕,是我院五十年代的一座具有代表性的雕塑创作。它的突出特点,是在大型纪念性的雕塑创作中,成功地体现了浓郁的民族气派、民族风格和社会主义内容的比较完美的结合,使这座群雕具有了中国特色。是我们年青的人民共和国,团结、建设、兴旺、发达的第一个十年,人民的意志和理想的形象反映。这是我院雕塑系师生的集体创作。是他们将个人的才能融会于人民火热的斗争生活中,在时代的激流里,吸收了营养,焕发了巨大的创作激情的结晶。限于历史条件,它当然也还存在着许多内容上的局限和艺术上尚未完满解决的问题,但,总的塑造是成功的,有着属于未来的东西,在今天看也仍然艺术地体现着我们民族要求振兴的强烈愿望。无论是成就或是局限,都是值得回味的,因此,我们编发了这一组当年参加过创作或了解情况的同志的回顾文章,以纪念组雕诞生的二十五周年。
Beijing National Agricultural Exhibition Hall large group of carvings, is our hospital in the fifties a representative sculpture creation. Its salient features are the successful combination of rich ethnic style, ethnic style and socialist content in a large memorial sculpture so that this group of carvings has Chinese characteristics. It is the reflection of the image of the will and ideal of our people in the first decade of our young People’s Republic, unity, construction, prosperity and development. This is the collective creation of teachers and students in Sculpture Department of our college. It is because they absorbed their talents into the fiery struggle life of the people. In the torrent of the times, they absorbed the nutrients and rejuvenated themselves with the great creative passion. Limited to the historical conditions, of course, there are still many limitations on the content and the problem of the arts is not yet fully resolved, but the overall shape is successful, with the future belong to the object, today still see the art of our nation Strong desire to rejuvenate. Both accomplishments and limitations are memorable. Therefore, we compiled a retrospective essay by this group of comrades who participated in writing or understanding in those days to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the birth of the group carvings.
