荣禄(1834—1903年)字仲华,瓜尔佳氏,满州正白旗人。出生于官僚之家,咸丰年间由荫生以主事用,因捐输军饷奖候选道。同治初年,赏五品京堂,充清廷禁卫军神机营翼长。同治七年(1868年),张宗禹率西捻军由陕西出发,经山西、河南等省进入直隶,逼近北京。清廷一面急令各省督、抚火速带兵勤王,一面由恭亲王奕訢率神机营出京驻涿州,准备共同围歼捻军。荣禄参加了此次围攻捻军之战,有功于清廷,赏加头品顶戴,擢左翼总兵。后经大学士文祥推荐,改任工部侍
