元阳县出日果蔬栽培研究所成立于1986年7月,主要是研究荔枝、龙眼等高档水果的栽培技术和培育良种嫁接苗.该所位于元阳县西南部黄草岭乡,海拔940米,年均温20.1℃,年降雨量 1926.8毫米,相对湿度81.2%,全年无霜,交通方便.从成立到现在,经过8年多的艰苦创业和不断求索,采用先进的科学技术,现已建成荔枝(主要品种有元阳焦枝荔枝、元阳2号、妃子笑),龙眼(主要品种有石硖、储良、大乌园及本省良种),芒果(主要品种有马切苏、秋芒、吕宋芒、大白玉),宫庭桃母本园200余亩,良种苗圃60余亩、母本园巳结果投产,其中妃子笑比广东、广西及本省思茅的果实着色好,鲜红艳丽;石硖龙眼比原产地早熟20～30天,单果比原产地重1.5～2克.该所目前已成为省内果类较多、品种较全的融科研、生产、经营和技术服务于一体的实体单位.

From its establishment to the present, after more than eight years of arduous pioneering and continuous search, the use of advanced science and technology, has now completed litchi (The main varieties are Yuan Yang Qiao sticks litchi, Yuanyang No. 2, concubine laugh), longan (the main varieties are Shijie, Chuliang, Da Wu Yuan and the province’s elite), mango (the main varieties are Mace Su, Lv Songmang, Jade White), the Palace Court Taoyuan Park more than 200 acres, more than 60 acres of seed nursery, the mother Park has been put into operation, which concubines than Guangdong, Guangxi and the province Simao fruit coloring, red bright; stone Longan more than the origin of 20 to 30 days, single fruit than the origin of 1.5 to 2 grams. The Institute has now become the province more fruits, more varieties of financial research, production, management and technical services in one entity unit.
