南禅寺位于山西省五台县阳白乡李家村附近小银河一侧的河岸土崖上,寺院坐北朝南,迎面和背面各有一道山梁,寺旁渠水环绕,林木繁茂,红墙绿树,溪水青山,极为隐秘幽静。我国现存最早的木结构建筑——南禅寺大殿就坐落在这里,并在如此美丽的环境中存在了至少1234年。五台山,坐落于素有“华北屋脊”之发现
