曾国藩既是中国传统文化之集大成者,又是引进西方科学技术的带头人,既是知名理学家,又是洋务派首领。这前后二者之间有什么内在联系?它们这相互矛盾着的两个方面又如何统一于曾国藩的思想之中?以及应当如何看待曾国藩的洋务思想与中国传统文化,我们从他一生中的成败得失与最后结局应得到什么启示等等,曾长期萦绕于笔者的脑海之中。这些问题涉及甚广却很有意义。故乘今日之便,提出自己的一点想法,以就教于学术界的诸同仁。
Zeng Guofan is not only a master of Chinese traditional culture, but also a leader in introducing Western science and technology. He is both a famous philosopher and a leader of the Westernization School. What are the intrinsic relations between the two before and after? How can these two contradictory aspects be unified in Tseng Kuo-fan’s thinking? And how should we treat Tseng Kuo-fan’s Westernization ideology and Chinese traditional culture? From the success or failure of his life Gains and losses and what should be the end of the revelation, etc., has long been lingering in the author’s mind. These issues are very broad and relevant. Therefore, taking this today, I put forward my own ideas to teach my colleagues in academia.
