周凤和是兴安盟突泉县土生土长的艺术家。1972年,突泉县文工团选演员,只有17岁的他考录到团里。1975年,他被任命为县文工团乐队队长并被选派到内蒙歌舞团作曲部深造。同年,他的第一部作品二人转《造林捧杯》参加全县“三干会”演出,受到观众和领导的好评,从此他走上了音乐创作之路。至今他已创作评剧、吉剧、小戏、歌曲等300余部作品,其中大戏20余部、小戏40余部、曲艺和歌曲分别100余部,《突泉百年原创歌曲集》收录了他40余部原创作品。“作为分管文化的干部,要有社会责任感”。这是周凤和给自己的定位。2005年,他被任命为
