1990年3月8日至13日在北京召开了全国党史工作部门负责人座谈会。看到全国各地从事党史工作的同志济济一堂,杨尚昆同志高兴地说,我们有这样一支党史队伍很不容易,可以说是“群贤毕至”。这几年,大家做了很多工作。希望各级党委要重视和加强对党史工作的领导。要注意培养一批年轻同志,使我们的党史工作兴旺发达。杨尚昆说,我们党的历史资料很丰富。我们要通过党史来回答,在中国,为什么要坚持共产党的领导,为什么要走社会主义道路,为什么要实行共产党领导的多党合作制等等问题。这在当前形势下更有着迫切的需要。
From March 8 to March 13, 1990, a forum for heads of party history departments in China was held in Beijing. When we see comrades engaged in the work of the history of the Party across the country gathered together, Comrade Yang Shangkun said happily that it is not easy for us to have such a contingent of party history. In recent years, we have done a lot of work. We hope party committees at all levels should attach importance to and strengthen leadership over the work of the party history. We should pay attention to cultivating a group of young gays and make our party history work prosperous. Yang Shangkun said that the history of our party is very rich. We must answer through the history of the party why in China why we must uphold the leadership of the Communist Party, why we must take the socialist road and why we should implement the multi-party cooperation system under the leadership of the Communist Party. This is an urgent need in the current situation.
