对西部产业集聚水平进行研究,发现2003—2008年西部产业的平均集聚度在不断变化,多数产业处在低集聚程度,少数处在中等集聚度状态。实证研究发现,西部产业集聚从整体上推动了其竞争力水平的提高,但不同行业间表现出很大的差异。出现这种情况的原因在于这些产业的资源要求比较高,西部地区的资源禀赋满足了这样一个条件。西部产业要想获得较大的发展,除了要继续发挥本地区资源优势外,还应积极延长产业链条,完善产业体系,特别要注意加强产业规划,大力发展资本和技术密集型产业,提升产业的技术水平。
The study of the level of industrial agglomeration in the western region shows that the average agglomeration degree of the western industry in 2003-2008 is constantly changing. Most industries are in a low level of agglomeration while the minority are in a moderate degree of agglomeration. The empirical study found that industrial agglomeration in the west promoted its overall competitiveness to a higher level, but there were great differences among different industries. The reason for this situation is that the resource requirements of these industries are relatively high. The resource endowment in the western region satisfies such a condition. In order to obtain greater development, the western industries should, in addition to continuing to exert their resource advantages in the region, actively extend the industrial chain and perfect the industrial system, with particular attention to strengthening industrial planning, vigorously developing capital and technology-intensive industries and upgrading industries techinque level.
