Object:To study the depressant effect of andrographolide dripping pills on Porphyromonas gingivalis.Method:30 healthy and 90 gingivopericementitis sufferers administrated by dummy,andrographolide dripping pills and andrographolide pellet,respectively were divided into four groups:normal group,control group,andrographolide dripping pills group and gandrographolide pellet group.Results:Andrographolide dripping pills and andrographolide pellet could decrease total dacterial count and Porphyromonas gingivalis count and constituent ratio in subgingival plaques.The therapeutic effect of andrographolide dripping pills was better than andrographolide pellet.Conclusion:Both andrographolide dripping pills and andrographolide pellet could treat gingivopericementitis effectively.The therapeutic effect of andrographolide dripping pills was better than andrographolide pellet.
