“元九登高”是川东北尤其是四川达州市广为流传的民俗文化现象,2009年又被评选为“中国·四川十大名节”。关于它的起源众说纷纭,针对“春游踏青”、“祭玉皇帝”、“纪念元稹”的三种说法,本文通过有关史料的考证、民间传说的分析和文化建设的阐释,在运用民俗的考察和文化的分析后,认为“元九登高”体现为正月初九乃黄道吉日的“天时”、达州城区为河谷高岸的“地利”和巴人民众要追求幸福的“人和”的三位一体。
