In 2011, Lu Ying-chih, who has been working in an architectural firm for many years, decided to set up his own studio. “Chicago studio ” is taken from her Chinese name and looks similar to “studio,” while Lukstudio picks up her English surname. From the humble beginning of the store space design, after five years of development, Chicago Studios has accumulated a number of impressive commercial space works. Whether it is the Aime Patisserie flagship store on Shanghai's Huaihai Road that looks like a delicate white gift box or Baker One, a bakery with rich, nostalgic industrial wind near the Bund, subverts the traditional perception of the consumer business space. Success in the field of commercial design did not halt the Chicago studios, and now, Lu Ying-chih with her team of eight people, hoping to extend the design of the tentacles more broad Amoy area.
