At the beginning of July 1989, when the people in the Nonthali Irrigation District in Nepal were eager for water cuts and eagerly transplanted, the 44 large and small channels within the irrigated area had finally reached a certain degree of water flow. The second phase of the auxiliary project of the Xunshali irrigation project is a key project for the development of farmland irrigation in the Dalan Plain in eastern Nepal known as the “granary”. This project was funded by the World Bank. The tender stipulated that the construction of the project started in October 1988 and required the completion of the 69-month construction period, including the maintenance of the 53-kilometer-long Chagan main canal, including Jungang and Xida.
