在新的历史时期,中小学教育的任务是,培养有理想、有道德、有文化、有纪律的社会主义公民,并为培养能够坚持社会主义方向的各级各类人才奠定基础。要完成这个任务,就要在重视文化科学知识教学的同时,加强和改善思想政治教育,特别是要对青少年儿童进行爱国主义、社会主义教育,引导他们热爱祖国、热爱社会主义。经过这几年的实践,大家对这个问题的认识是越加深刻了。
In the new historical period, the task of primary and secondary education is to foster a socialist citizen with ideals, morality, culture and discipline and lay the foundation for cultivating all kinds of talents at all levels who can adhere to the socialist orientation. To accomplish this task, we must attach importance to the teaching of cultural science knowledge and at the same time strengthen and improve ideological and political education. In particular, we should educate young children on patriotism and socialism, guide them to love the motherland and love socialism. After these years of practice, everyone’s understanding of this issue is even more profound.
