“八五”期间,我国化妆品的生产和消费迅猛发展。1993年化妆品销售额为90亿,1994年达115亿元,在十年间发展增长近10倍。目前化妆品生产企业达2000余家,其中年销售额一亿元以上的约20余家,中型企业约100余家,三资企业达140余家以上。国际间有知名的化妆品企业,美国宝洁公司(P-G)、庄臣公司、英国“旁氏”、“利华”公司,德国汉高公司(Henkel)、威娜公司,日本资生堂公司,法国等公司都加盟到中国的化妆品生产。可以说中国目前的化妆品产业,不但产品档次高,花色品种多,包装新颖,且国内国际名牌的化妆品层出不穷。中国化妆品行业存在的主要问题和差距一是消费水平低。中国化妆品发展速度是快的。根据法国有关权威人士评说,“中国近十几年化妆品的发展相当于法国一个世纪的发展速度。”但是中国化妆品总产值尚不及法国一家工厂的产值。国际化妆品1993年总销售额超过1000亿美元。中国尚占不到1%。世界人均年消费水平为35—70美元,其中台湾50美元,香港180美元,法国73美元,意大利46美元,而我国大陆还不足1美元。二是盲目发展化妆品生产的势头仍未得到抑制。
During the “Eighth Five-Year Plan” period, the production and consumption of cosmetics in China developed rapidly. In 1993, the cosmetics sales amounted to 9 billion yuan. In 1994, it reached 11.5 billion yuan, which has grown by nearly 10 times in ten years. At present, there are more than 2,000 cosmetic production companies, of which about 20 have annual sales of over 100 million yuan, about 100 are medium-sized companies, and more than 140 foreign-funded enterprises. There are well-known cosmetics companies in the world, Procter & Gamble (PG), Johnson Chemicals, British “Pang’s”, and “Lihua”, Henkel, Weina, and Japan Shiseido. Companies such as France have joined the cosmetics production in China. It can be said that China’s current cosmetics industry not only has high grades of products, but also has many varieties and novel packaging, and there are endless domestic and international famous brands of cosmetics. The main problems and gaps in the Chinese cosmetics industry are the low level of consumption. The development of Chinese cosmetics is fast. According to relevant authorities in France, “the development of cosmetics in China in the last decade or so is equivalent to the development rate of France in a century.” However, the total output value of Chinese cosmetics is not as good as that of a French factory. International Cosmetics’ total sales in 1993 exceeded 100 billion U.S. dollars. China still accounts for less than 1%. The per capita annual consumption level of the world is 35-70 US dollars, of which Taiwan is 50 US dollars, Hong Kong 180 US dollars, France 73 US dollars, Italy 46 US dollars, and China’s mainland is still less than 1 US dollar. The second is that the momentum of blindly developing cosmetic production has not been curbed.
