八大山人(朱耷)所画的《孔雀名花图》题了一首颇为令人难解的诗,诗云:“孔雀名花雨竹屏,竹梢强半墨生成;如何了得论三耳,恰是逢春坐二更。”这幅画和诗引起不少的人为之求证,只因画中绘有孔雀,而八大画中是少见的。八大其它的翎毛都很美,唯独他将原很美的孔雀画得甚丑,像被残留下的三条翎尾,很明显是八大有意刻画,并非美之能,而是不为也。其诗近年来质疑有二:一是“三耳”,一是“二更”。这两点质疑,因涉及到八大的身世、政治,及八大本人的思想和画中所表达的意境。故有人认为是一幅中国古
