“迎春爆竹响千家,共祝新岁百物华”。我们上海越剧团从香港演出胜利归来,正好赶上欢度春节,当我们团聚在灯下畅谈的时候,总不禁怀念起香港同胞和文艺界的朋友们来。上海越剧团与香港同胞虽是初次见面,可是我们刚下火车踏进车站,就受到各界同胞的热烈欢迎;一排排的小朋友献花队,个个手中捧着鲜花,含笑迎人。越剧团在香港虽只耽了短短的四十多天,但在这期间,无论在剧场,在寓所,在宴会上,或是在其它各种社交场合里,到处都受到热情的接待。他们以对待老朋友的亲热态度来对待我们,使我俩才与他们相识,就感到毫不陌生了。
“Spring firecrackers ring a thousand, a total of wish the new year hundreds of Chinese.” Our Shanghai Yue Opera Troupe returned from victorious performance in Hong Kong just in time to celebrate the Spring Festival. When we reunited under the lights to talk, we could not help but miss our compatriots in Hong Kong and our friends in literary and art circles. Although the Shanghai Yue Opera Troupe and Hong Kong compatriots met for the first time, we just got off the train into the station and we were warmly welcomed by our compatriots from all walks of life. Row of children gave flowers, holding flowers in all hands and smiling and welcoming people. Although the Yue Opera Troupe has only lasted just over 40 days in Hong Kong, during this period, it has been warmly received everywhere in the theater, at its apartment, at a banquet, or at various other social occasions. They treat us with the kind-hearted attitude of treating their old friends, so that we can feel familiar with them without any stranger.
