过去三十年，中国企业向国外市场输出了大量产品，为此，中国人民在空气、水资源、土壤等方面付出了沉重的代价，然而，随着财力的增强，中国人也开始更加关注污染对健康的影响有迹象显示，这种出口一污染模式很有可能会发生逆转至少中国对某些食品进口需求的不断增强，已经引发了人们对出产国环境污染问题的关注。
