在戊戌变法失败90周年之际,杨锐、刘光第首届学术讨论会于1988年9月1日—7日在四川省绵竹县和自贡市连续举行。与会代表80余人,收到论文30余篇。会议以杨锐、刘光第在戊戌维新运动中的活动为主要线索,就相关课题进行了广泛而热烈的讨论。主要集中在以下三方面: On the 90th anniversary of the failure of the Reform Movement of 1898, the first symposium held by Yang Rui and Liu Guangdi was held in succession from January 1 to July 7, 1988 in Mianzhu County and Zigong City, Sichuan Province.
