08年的汶川地震,我们付出了沉重的代价,死伤数万人。作为一名工程设计人员我们悲痛之余,感觉到了巨大的责任、压力和使命。从震区的无数张建筑物破坏的图片来看,是我们的钢筋配的小了吗?是局部某根梁、某个楼板破坏了吗?我想造成这么大伤亡的没有一个是因为这些原因……在同一震级、同一场区范围内,为什么有些房屋粉碎性破坏倒塌,而有些房屋没有倒塌,甚至只是局部损坏而结构完整无损呢?如果震区所有房屋都能像后者那样,人员就能逃生和施救,死伤人数就可能大大降低,经济损失有可能大为减少。比较国外最近发生的一些比汶川地震震级还要大的地震,死伤几百人,甚至零死亡的情况,我们确实应该深思。
