In September 1984, I published an article entitled “Pole Vault King Fu Paul.” At that time, the material was limited. It was a pity that the article wrote about the specific circumstances of Fu Bao’s childhood and his competition at the 11th Olympic Games in 1936. Recently, I visited Wang Shilin and Zhang Wenguang, two veteran professors in the Beijing Institute of Physical Education. Professor Wang Shilin graduated from Beijing Physical Education Institute before liberation, and remained in school. He is known for “three jumps” - high jumps, long jumps and triple jumps in domestic track and field field and has won the “Three Jumps” national championship. His native place is Changchun in northeastern China. In 1936, he and Fu Paolu participated in the track and field competition of the 11th Olympic Games. Professor Zhang Wenguang taught at the Central State Mart Hall before liberation. He is familiar with martial arts, wrestling and boxing
