ATM交换机中传统的插件板功能划分及其互连式难以满足灵活与高效的分布式交换要求。为了设计更加先进的交换系统,提出了一种新的背板混洗型ATM交换网络。通过重新划分ATM交换机中各不同插件板集成的逻辑功能,得到一种集接口、交换和本地控制与管理于一体的新型插件板,它按照背板混洗交换方案进行系统互连,可灵活构造各种不同性能要求的ATM接入交换机和网络节点交换机。为了提高新型ATM交换网络和系统的实用性,还提出了三种改进途径,并描述了由此构成大容量ATM交换网络的新方案。
The traditional plug-in board function division and its interconnection in ATM switchboard are difficult to meet the flexible and efficient distributed switching requirement. In order to design a more advanced switching system, a new backplane shuffled ATM switching network is proposed. By re-dividing the logic functions integrated in the different plug-in boards in the ATM switchboard, a new plug-in board with interface, exchange and local control and management is obtained, which is interconnected according to the backplane shuffling exchange scheme and can be flexibly constructed A variety of different performance requirements of ATM access switches and network node switches. In order to improve the practicability of the new ATM switching network and system, three improved approaches have also been proposed, and a new scheme for forming a large-capacity ATM switching network has been described.
