北京时间9月6日上午11点19分,云南省昭通市和贵州省毕节市交界发生5.7级地震。12点16分,昭通市彝良县再次发生5.6级地震。截至9月9日10时,这次“双震”灾害已造成81人死亡、74.4万人受灾。地震发生后,党中央国务院高度重视,胡锦涛主席立即做出重要指示,要求有关方面迅速组织力量投入抗震救灾,确保灾区人民生命财产安全。温家宝总理随即赶赴灾区,并在彝良县受灾群众安置点发表了讲话温总理鼓励大家说,有了2008年汶川特大地震抗震救灾工作的经验,我们有信心、有决心、有能力完成好昭通地震的抗震救灾工作。
