The dispute between the Tang Dynasty and the Ming Dynasty in the Wanli period was a far-reaching public act in the history of the drama. There have been heated debates and in-depth studies on this issue in the academic circles. However, no one has made a comprehensive study of this issue from the perspective of Zong Yuan This article is premised on the argument. The issue debated by Tang and Shen was not a brand new theoretical problem but a repetition of the relationship between the literary and legal relations already solved in the late Yuan Dynasty in the new historical context.
