在墨西哥湾已经广泛而又成功的使用了“亮点”并且开展了对砂页岩的研究。这两种方法的试验在其它的第三纪盆地,如北海和印度尼西亚都已获得了相同的结果。本文的目的是研究在阿拉斯加湾使用这两种技术的可能性。讨论并举例说明了影响这两种方法的原則性问题。用阿拉斯加湾选出的几条测线给出了亮点和层速度研究的例子。假定勘探者了解该地区的问题和认识到这两种方法的能力和局限性就可以成功地实现“亮点/平点”技术和砂岩—页岩/层速度研究。
The “bright spot” has been widely and successfully used in the Gulf of Mexico and research on sand shale has been conducted. The tests of these two methods have yielded the same results in other Tertiary basins like the North Sea and Indonesia. The purpose of this article is to investigate the possibility of using both techniques in the Alaska Bay. Discuss and illustrate examples of the issues that affect both approaches. Several lines selected from the Bay of Alaska give examples of highlights and layer velocities. Assuming that prospective investigators are aware of the problems in the area and recognizing the capabilities and limitations of both approaches, “bright spot / flat point” techniques and sandstone-shale / bed velocity studies can be successfully achieved.
