沃尔沃集团成立于1927年,总部设在瑞典的哥德堡市,主营业务包括卡车、客车、建筑设备、船舶及工业用发动机、航空航天以及金融服务等几部分。公司倡导“品质、安全、环保”三大核心理念,并将其贯穿于生产、销售和服务等工作的全过程。其中卡车占其业务额的67％;其次便是沃尔沃建筑设备,占集团总业务额的12％,2002年沃尔沃建筑设备的销售额为200多亿瑞典克朗(1瑞典克朗约合1.01元人民币)。 沃尔沃建筑设备是一家大型跨国公司,是世界上最大的工程机械制造商之一,主要从事工程机械及相关行业设备的开发、生产和市场营销。主要产品有装载机、铰接式卡车、液压挖掘机、平地机、挖掘装载机和滑移装载机等。其产品中35％为装载机,25％为铰接式卡车,20％为液压挖掘机,7％为平地机,11％为小型设备,其余为其他产品。瑞典、巴西、美国、韩国、法国、德国、加拿大和中国都有其生产基地。
Founded in 1927, Volvo Group is headquartered in Gothenburg, Sweden. Its main businesses include trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine and industrial engines, aerospace and financial services. The company advocates the three core concepts of “quality, safety and environmental protection” and runs it through the whole process of production, sales and service. Of which trucks accounted for 67% of its business volume; followed by Volvo Construction Equipment, accounting for 12% of the Group’s total sales volume in 2002 Volvo construction equipment sales of 200 billion Swedish kronor (1 Swedish kronor or about 1.01 yuan) . Volvo Construction Equipment is a large multinational corporation that is one of the largest manufacturers of construction machinery in the world and is principally engaged in the development, production and marketing of construction machinery and related equipment. The main products are loaders, articulated trucks, hydraulic excavators, graders, backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders. 35% of its products are loaders, 25% are articulated trucks, 20% are hydraulic excavators, 7% are graders, 11% are small equipment and the rest are other products. Sweden, Brazil, the United States, South Korea, France, Germany, Canada and China have their production bases.
