左云历史上文化艺术绚丽多彩,名胜古迹壮丽辉煌。以楞严寺藏经阁为代表的寺庙、牌坊、楼、台、殿、阁,浑然一体,古朴精巧,各具风姿;鼓楼、钟楼、魁星楼、太平楼、牌楼,遥遥相望,建筑奇特,饮誉云中,令人瞩目。惜乎1649年、1937年、1947年三次遭清兵、日寇、阎锡山部队涂炭,残存 Zuo Yun brilliant history of culture and arts, places of magnificent glory.
