针对目前隧道设计中初期支护参数取值范围过大,设计者在设计过程中难以把握,所选择的支护参数有可能与围岩实际不匹配,致使隧道要么不经济,要么不安全,或耐久性不足而存在安全隐患,提出了对围岩再分级的处理,以便更合理地选择支护参数设想。即对规范给出的各级围岩再分成若干个分级,对各分级围岩给以相应支护参数,缩小初期支护参数取值范围,使设计者在选择支护参数时更容易把握,从而选择出更符合围岩实际的支护参数,使隧道既安全又经济合理。
