Chinese opera and folk art are stage arts that are made up of a variety of artistic factors. Language (or text) is especially important. As Gorky put it: “The first element of literature is language,” as does opera and folk art. Opera and folk art language, including libretto and guest white, with a variety of functions, is an important means of accomplishing an artistic performance. Since the Yuan Dynasty, the language style of Chinese opera and folk art can be divided into two major genres: genre and literature. Of course, this only shows that writers have their own love and emphasis on the artistic style of language. In fact, many writers’ language styles are often complementary to each other in terms of character and literary talent. Cantonese Opera Cantonese Opera, a local opera and folk art genre, is a Cantonese opera Cantonese opera with its unique style of both artistic style and literary talent. At the same time, it has unique musical features due to the characteristics of Guangzhou dialect.
