CIO被不少人称为“全能战士”。他们需要懂技术,又要懂管理。他们对重大IT产品的选型要负主要责任,又要在大型信息化项目的实施中,想方设法去化解经常会遇到的来自不同业务部门的各种阻力。他们在职业生涯发展中非常容易遇到“天花板”问题。不过,有一类特殊的CIO群体,他们在信息化实施过程中很少遇到来自业务部门的阻力,他们在选择某一类IT产品时并不需要负责任,他们在技术上可能还不是最牛的人,但他们很可能以专家顾问的身份在其他CIO群体中现身说法。而在职涯发展中,CIO的“天花板”对他们更多的意味着“跳板”。这类CIO就是IT企业的CIO。
CIO by many people called “Almighty Warrior.” They need to understand technology and management. They have the primary responsibility for the selection of major IT products. They also need to find solutions to the often encountered resistance from different business units in the implementation of large-scale informatization projects. They are very susceptible to “ceiling” problems in their career development. However, there is a special category of CIOs who experience little resistance from the business in their informational implementation and do not need to be responsible for choosing a particular type of IT product, and they may not technically be the most cattle , But they are likely to appear in other CIO groups as expert advisors. In career development, CIO’s “ceiling” means more to them “springboard.” These CIOs are CIOs for IT companies.
