一九八五年六月二十九日,在北京,中、美双方《合作经营平朔安太堡露天煤矿合同》正式签字。六月三十日上午十时,在人民大会堂福建厅,邓小平同志亲切接见了将于第二天赴平朔参加剪彩仪式的美国西方石油公司董事长哈默博士。至此,举世瞩目的平朔项目终于走上了快车道。
On June 29, 1985, the two sides formally signed the contract for the cooperative management of Pingshuo Antaibao open-pit coal mine in Beijing, China and the United States. On the morning of June 30, at the Fujian Hall and Deng Xiaoping at the Great Hall of the People, they met with Dr. Hammer, chairman of the American Western Petroleum Company, who will attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Pingshuo the next day. At this point, the world-renowned Pingshuo project finally embarked on the fast lane.
