This article discusses the most important parameters and criteria that must be considered when designing high-speed ball bearings for use in liquid hydrogen. At the same time, the situation of bearing lubrication was analyzed and predicted, and compared with the test results. The main content of this paper is to use the test rig to apply axial load on the bearing to determine the steady-state and transient characteristics of the bearing under different operating conditions (until the DN value is 1.8 × 10 ~ 6). This article excerpts from the experimental results and qualification of the bearings and presents various forms of ablation, all of which provide the basis for the future development of the HM60 engine.
