达·芬奇是个集画家、雕刻家、建筑师、工程师及科学家等多种才艺于一身的文艺复兴巨擘。他不但是个全才,还是个怪才。有人说他是最缺乏耐心的艺术家。据说他有多动症,注意力不集中,对任何东西的兴趣都不能持久,一件事没干完就去干另一件事了。他喜欢穿粉红色外套,毫无顾忌地把胡须涂成五颜六色,解剖过不下30具死尸。他还是个左撇子,习惯从右到左倒着书写,别人要借助镜子才能读出他写的东西。
