论述了单模光纤受到弯曲时应力双折射的产生。利用这种双折射效应制作了类似于经典晶体波片的光纤型波片。设计了测试光纤延迟角的实验系统并得到了1.55μm在线光纤型波片。
The stress birefringence of single mode fiber is discussed. Using this birefringence effect, an optical fiber type wave plate similar to the classical crystal wave plate was fabricated. The experimental system for testing the retardation angle of optical fiber was designed and a 1.55μm on-line optical fiber wave plate was obtained.
