In this paper, a model based on the Rayleigh light scattering properties of proteins was used to compare the changes of the opacity of the eyes under short-wave and long-wave conditions. We obtained critical Flickdr Fusion-CFF frequency thresholds from 21 subjects and 18 patients with insulin-dependent diabetes using selective color adaptation. We compared the Ferry-Porter properties for each color-sensitive mechanism of each patient to age-ratio control values. For those eyes with no signs of nerve damage, we calculated and adjusted the optical density associated with the red-blue sensitive mechanism
