Objective: To investigate the clinical significance of bcl-2 / Ig H gene rearrangement. Methods: The gene rearrangements of bcl-2 / Ig H in nine malignant lymphoma cell lines and different types of lymphoid malignancies were detected by polymerase chain reaction (PCR). RESULTS: The bcl-2 / Ig H gene rearrangements were found in two cell lines, one with chronic lymphocytic leukemia and six with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL), of which 36.4% were follicular NHL and 18.2% Sex NHL rearrangement. The vast majority (8/9) of the bcl-2 gene breakpoints were located in the main rupture zone (MBR). CONCLUSION: The bcl-2 / Ig H gene rearrangement is a common chromosomal abnormality in malignant lymphoma. It is mainly associated with low-grade NHL. The detection of rearrangement is helpful for the occurrence of lymphoma. The evolution mechanism and evaluation of prognosis .
