我国从博物馆创建之初,就将社会教育作为博物馆的基本职能之一,它是收藏、研究工作价值的最终体现,是博物馆一切工作的出发点和落脚点。教育应该是博物馆工作的重中之重,是提高公众文化素质的重要手段,但目前我国大部分博物馆教育部门的力量相对薄弱,大多数停留在导览的层面而缺乏理论和实践经验。国外博物馆在社会教育方面起步较早,积累了丰富的经验。笔者认为,有必要对国外博物馆的教育实践经验进行梳理,从中得到启示,借鉴“他山之石”以推动我国博物馆教育事业的发展。
Since the beginning of the museum’s creation, our country regards social education as one of the basic functions of the museum. It is the ultimate manifestation of the value of the collection and research and is the starting point and the foothold of all the museum’s work. Education should be the most important work in the museum and an important means to improve the quality of the public culture. However, at present, most of the educational departments in the museum are relatively weak in power. Most of them stay at the level of the guide without the theoretical and practical experience. Foreign museums started earlier in social education and accumulated rich experience. In my opinion, it is necessary to sort out the educational experience of foreign museums, gain enlightenment and learn from the “stone of other mountains” to promote the development of museum education in our country.
