Jose Clement Orosco is one of the central figures in Mexican murals. He did not extremely deny the positive role Spain played in the colonization of Mexico while at the same time affirming the value of indigenous culture. His work has always accurately grasped the duality of Mexican national history and deeply impressed every viewer with a sense of historical responsibility and national responsibility.
