1 Barbados Fire Department Barbados, a small island nation in Latin America, is located in the Lesser Antilles, east of the Caribbean, on the verge of the Atlantic. Its land area of 431km ~ 2, population 274,000. Originally a British colony, the country declared its independence in 1966 with more developed sugar cane farming and tourism.
