五月二十八日,是上海解放三十五周年纪念日,也是上海《解放日报》创刊三十五周年纪念日。市委宣传部和《解放日报》在市府大礼堂举行大会,隆重纪念上海《解放日报》创刊三十五周年。中共上海市委第一书记陈国栋出席大会,并作了重要讲话。他说:党报是党领导人民进行革命和建设不可缺少的强大思想武器,也是党密切联系人民群众的重要桥梁。在新的历史时期,党报是党领导人民进行社会主义物质文明和精神文明建设的宣传工具。
May 28 is the 35th anniversary of the liberation of Shanghai and the 35th anniversary of the founding of Shanghai Liberation Daily. The Municipal Party Committee Propaganda Department and the “Liberation Daily” held a conference in the auditorium of the municipal government, solemnly commemorating the 35th anniversary of the publication of Shanghai Liberation Daily. Chen Guodong, the secretary of the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, attended the meeting and made an important speech. He said: The party newspaper is a powerful ideological weapon indispensable to the party in leading the people in carrying out the revolution and construction. In the new historical period, the party newspaper is the propaganda tool for the party to lead the people in carrying forward the construction of materialism and spiritual civilization of socialism.
