中国竞技体育的成功经验之一就是有一支长期集中训练的国家队。我国优势项目都有长期集中训练的国家队。实践证明,组织长期集训的国家队是充分发挥举国体制的有效措施2一。国家集训队能够发挥举国体制的作用,主要在于国家综合资源的充分利用:最好的教练员带最好的运动员,实现人尽其才,优化组合;最好的运动员在一起训练、竞争,形成相互学习、相互促进的氛围;最好的管理、训练、比赛、科研、信息、医务、饮食营养和住宿等各项服务和条件,提供全面的保障。肩负着2008年奥运会上要有明显突破的重任,田径项目也必须抓好国家集训队的建设。这需要以解放思想、实事求是、与时俱进的要求为指导,对田径项目国家集训队建设面临的新情况、新问题做出分析,根据田径项目的特点,探索一条国家集训队建设新的道路。
