Not long ago, my factory had had such an accident: When the welder just put a piece of calcium carbide into the electric fence, suddenly occurred in the acetylene generator combustion, the flame ejected from the feeding port, the welder was burned. After examination, calcium carbide particle size, phosphorus content, working temperature are in line with safety requirements, there is no open flame around. So why burn it?
