Objective To explore the neuropsychological responses of the Mongolian children with the language predominance hemisphere. Methods A total of 60 Han and Mongolian normal children aged 9, 10, 11 years old were examined by using half-field technique. The Chinese and Mongolian characters were tested using the half-field technique. The gender, age, and population of the two ethnic groups were matched. The signal is a single Mongolian word, the degree of difficulty is appropriate, the angle of view is 1 2 ° × 1 2 °, the central fixation point to the stimulation distance is 7 8 °, the stimulus flashing time is 12 0ms, the stimulus interval is 10s and the screen distance is 30cm. When and the correct reading rate. The total number of signals was 72 times, Mongolia Mongolian children in two test points. Results When Han and Mongolian children read a single Chinese character, the average visual acuity of the right visual field was faster than that of the left visual field (P <0.05 and P <0.01), especially for Mongolian children. (P <0.05). There was no significant difference between the two visual fields in Han children (P> 0.05). The Mongolian children’s reaction time and correct reading rate (P <0 05 and P 0 01). The above results were not related to the gender and age differences of the two groups of children (P 0 05). Conclusions Han and Mongolian children’s discrimination of Han and Mongolian characters are both right-hemispheric (left-hemisphere) superiority. Mongolian children’s linguistic superiority is more localized in the left hemisphere than that of Han children
