叔丁基苯为抗组胺药物安其敏等的中间体。目前国内一般以无水三氯化铝为催化剂,由苯和叔丁醇缩合制备。该反应较为激烈,不易控制,收率也较低,仅60～62％。[安其敏工艺(内部资料)]。我们参考有关文献,用无水三氯化铁催化剂,结果收率稳定在82％左右,而且反应平稳,易于控制。
