赛诺·古米拉·阿吉达玛的话剧《雅加达2039》把1998年排华骚乱背后所反映的社会痼疾看作印尼当代文化一个核心问题。赛诺认为,暴乱是印尼所有人身上无法消除的污点,种族主义仅是更为复杂的社会体系和政权运作内在矛盾的表征。赛诺指出,1998年暴乱实质是国家暴力侵入和破坏社会族群生态的体现,印尼政府将此作为转移民众视线的手段。这种做法给印尼民众带来了深重的心理创伤。
The drama “Jakarta 2039” by Senegal Gomera Ajidama regards the social stigma reflected in the 1998 Chinese anti-Chinese riots as a core issue in contemporary Indonesian culture. Seinuo believes that riots are a tainted stain on all Indonesian people and that racism is only a manifestation of the inherent contradictions between the more complex social systems and the operation of the regime. Seinuo pointed out that the substance of the riots in 1998 was a manifestation of the invasion of the state by the violence and the destruction of the community ecology. The Indonesian government used this as a means of diverting people’s attention. This practice has brought deep psychological trauma to Indonesian people.
