在计算机数据通信系统的存贮-转发集中器、多路调制器的缓冲器设计中,一个基本问题是:对报文统计特性和缓冲器输出速率,在各种信息流强度下,如何由所限定的溢出概率来确定缓冲器的容量或者由缓冲器的容量来确定溢出概率。本文首先介绍缓冲器容量与溢出概率的关系。对方程组的简便解法和状态概率性质进行了分析。最后,从状态概率分布的母函数中求解缓冲器容量的计算方法。参考文献4种。
One of the basic problems in the design of buffer memories for memory-to-transmit concentrators and multiplexers in computer data communications systems is how to evaluate the statistical properties of the packets and the buffer output rate under various information flow intensities The defined overflow probability determines the buffer’s capacity or the buffer’s capacity determines the probability of overflow. This paper first introduces the relationship between buffer capacity and overflow probability. The simple solution of equations and the state probability properties are analyzed.
