Carbon monoxide (CO) pollutes the human life and work environment in a large amount, and the harm is becoming more and more serious. About 3,500 people die from CO poisoning each year in the United States. The toxicity of CO has been around for nearly a century, and its major impact is on the central nervous and cardiovascular systems. CO poisoning, the patient’s cardiovascular system in the clinical manifestations of hypotension, electrocardiogram showed sinus tachycardia or sinus bradycardia and arrhythmia, severe myocardial damage can be seen, ST-T wave changes. In recent years, scholars at home and abroad have paid much attention to CO-induced or exacerbated cardiovascular system diseases, especially the effect of prolonged exposure to low-concentration CO on the cardiovascular system, and the mechanism of its damage is also discussed. In order to better understand and prevent the harm of CO to the cardiovascular system, this paper summarizes the research on the effect of CO on cardiovascular system in recent years.
