The significance of developing HRB500 steel bars is analyzed. The developing ideas are clarified, the development process and the obtained results are introduced, and the economic benefits and social benefits of HRB500 steel bars are analyzed and explained. The promotion of the existing design specifications lag issue also made it clear.
